About Us

Hazelet Photography was founded by Megan and Matt Hazelet (more about us below!) in 2010. We call Gillette, WY home but serve locations around Wyoming and South Dakota--but hey, if you want to fly us to Hawaii, we’d be okay with that too! We specialize in Families, Babies and High School Seniors. Sessions are available on-location or at our in-home studio.

If you’re looking for traditional, formal, posed images, you’ve probably come to the wrong place. Our passion is to capture real life. Our hope with every session is that our images convey relationships and expressions in a real and personal way. The look exchanged between a couple in love, the unique personality of a high school senior about to start a new chapter in life, the playful looks between siblings. We believe it’s important to take the time to find out exactly what our clients want in their images and create a session that reflects who they are. We strive to put you at ease and make every session comfortable and fun!

I'm addicted to chocolate.

New Zealand, Thailand, and Ireland are on my "Bucket List."

I love parasailing.

I sing and play piano.

When Megan and I launched Hazelet Photography I started out helping with all of the "behind the scenes" stuff. One day she made the mistake of bringing me along on a shoot and made me get on the ground to get the shot because she didn't want to get dirty.....or maybe because she was 8 months pregnant... Either way, I didn't want to give the camera back after that! Seriously though, I love working with my wife behind the camera, and I look forward to "shooting you" real soon!
